CAR V LIFESTYLE CHOICE

    Hey all,

Just wondering if I could get any opinions on the below, like as what you think would be best...

Currently have a great diesel car, used to do 500km a week but now just local shop and school runs. I'll end up wrecking the car if I continue to drive it like this.

I'd like a petrol hybrid as that would suit my lifestyle and style of driving.

But for the interim would I be mad to buy something like a small petrol 10/15 years old, have that as my run around, sell the diesel and wait until next year to buy a 2nd hand decent hybrid.

I'd get around 16/17k for my car at present, I'd have the budget for a hybrid of around 25k either now or next year.

Just not sure if I'd be wasting money on an interim car or best to just sell what I have now and buy what I'd ideally like now (petrol hybrid)

    Thanks,

Market a bit high at the moment, even a runaround will cost a good bit compared to yesteryear. Then you have to try sell it, you may struggle to get what you paid for it.

Then again, your longer term hybrid may be cheaper next year. Or may even be dearer? Who knows?

Have a think what you expect in car market in next year or so and decide if you want to sell, buy, sell again and buy again.

I'd just buy what you really want now, but it's up to you.
