When my eldest was a baby, I remember trying to get her to sleep in the cot. Rocking her in my arms and shushing her wasn't doing the job. So I tried singing off some nursery rhymes or lullabies - knew little more than a line or two of anything. Learning nursery rhymes was then put on my mental to-do list, but she was getting more and more upset! In desperation, I decided to sing the first song that came into my head where I knew what the lyrics were and it went:

"As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there's not much left. Cause I've been blastin and laughin so long that even my mama thinks that my mind is gone..."

I recall having the lyrics sheet for Gangstas Paradise from some magazine (probably sister's Smash Hits) back when the song was big in the 90s. Despite not ever really listening to the song beyond in passing in the 27ish years since it was released, or being a fan of rap, or knowing any other Coolio song, I managed to finish the first verse (before giving up because my rapping isn't soothing or something). But to me, it really showed how iconic a song it was.

He might be back as that. Futurama announced its list of episodes for its return season. One of which is a Christmas themed episode. Possibility they asked him back as if episodes titles were revealed surely voice over work was completed.
