First budget sound system

I'm looking to setup my first sound system to be used 70% of the time with music and 30% with home theater. I hope to start with 2 floorstanders or bookshelves and eventually build up to a 7.2 system once my budget allows for it. I've comprised a shortlist of sets based on the online reading I've done over the past week. Please could you advise on the best set from the list or recommend any alternatives? If possible, I would like to visit your store for a demonstration before purchasing. Ideally, I want to avoid spending more than €700 on the main loudspeakers. I would need advice on the best way to power the speakers as well.

For me the best speakers from the list above would be the Dali Oberon 5 they sound fantastic and are 5 star reviews in What HiFi.

You could also check out the Monitor Audio Bronze 500 which are priced at 895 Euro

Hi, thanks for the response. I've found the QA concept 40s on sale for £500. How would these compare to the others on my list? I was thinking of powering them with the Bluesound Powernode 2021. Is this a good all in one solution?

Hi UsmanDar,

The Concept 40s were a great speaker in their day - I still think the Bronze 500s or even the Silver 200s would be a better option for you though.

The Bluesound Powernode is also a fantastic amp, they sound great and the app control for streaming is very user friendly.
