and Larry... ? whats the story with this ? if ever there was window into the world of the irish beef farmer... a forum on larry goodman, descends into an arguement over the morals of reading an article online without paying for it.....you really have to laugh, almost like a snapshot!

Larry gets the best accountants and financial brains money can buy. He pays them very well. Just look at his board, there Glanbia et al influence, they are not there because he wants to show off to shareholders (he is the shareholder). They are poached for their ideas. These came from Kerry massive cash piles and the Brosnan model. These PLC's are experts in managing cash. It's just as important to manage your profits as it is to make a profit at that level.

large scale tax avoidance on massive profits off the backs of both the rural and collective Irish economy. by creative accounting in tandem with successfully lobbying Irish government for taxpayers money to subsidise the producers to keep on keeping on. (2 beam schemes and now an early age slaughter scheme)

I know a lad that used hammer out the big deals with Larry. A chopper landed Christmas day in the field beside him as he was getting ready for the turkey. Larry tells him to get in n they went up to baldonnel I think and the private jet was waiting for them n off they went to the middle East.

The Muslims weren't too bothered about working Christmas day n neither was Larry!
