    Hi all,

i have a 2008 mercedes c180 W204 1.8 K, i bought it recently the previous owner had the front disc's and pads done shortly before sale Pagid brand. they didn't even look bedded in at the time and i've done approx 5000km on them still look good no scoring ect there is minimal wear on the pads also.

so i noticed lately on the drivers side there was a high pitch squeaky noise so i took it upon myself to investigate and the last person in there was a two uggas and a dugga type :( with the wheel off i could see the one of the metal tabs was misaligned and contacting the disc but only on half rotation of disc there was a mark on the disc approx 1/3 of the surface and the other 2/3 no contact mark.

i took off the caliper which was not fun because the two caliper slide bolts were covered in locktight and extremely over tightened lovely! the pads looked fine fairly even barely bedded in still!

where it gets interesting is the disc was catching the carrier somewhat also on rotation so i took it off and spun the disc and it looked to be wobbley/bent, it has only one location screw to connect it to the hub face which was almost rounded yay! but i got it off to see was the disc put on top of some corrosion.

it didn't look too bad but i cleaned it down with wire wheel and also the mating side of the disc put it back on and still had the same result looked wobbly on spinning it. anyway i was losing light and marbles so i reassembled everything and when i had 3 wheel bolts on and tight the wheel spun freely not catching the carrier anymore etc!!

is this normal? are the wheel bolts essentially pulling the disc flat to the hub because the one location screw isnt pulling it in evenly still seems a bit odd to me like I'm missing a small detail maybe or am i just paranoid!

finally i went for a quick test drive squeally noise fixed gone! but what is there is only on turning right a feh feh feh sort of noise seems to be there randomly since i bought the car goes away on its own normally. i have a small bit of play at 12 and 6 o clock about a milimeter, when shaking wheel don't think its wheel bearing think its lower ball joint.

will have another look tomorow at wheel bearing and balljoint try narrow down the play but should i be looking at getting a new disc for the driver side or have i missed something?

    Thanks
