Center Parcs Longford. No planes. Expensive though, but the kids will love it. So I've heard anyway. Or look for family friendly hotels here. There are a good few that welcome young kids and have facilities for them.

I think it is probably too much hassle to go abroad for such a short trip. But if you want to do that, hopefully others will come along and help. No young kids here so I can't help with that.

Id head abroad for 3 or 4 nights if you could. Im currently getting qouted 450 euro for a weekend for 2 in tullamore and enniscorthy.

No value to be head. I dont blame the hoteliers too much though with the esb costs.

Paris (City + a Disney day), Rome, Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, Bilbao - lots of nice places but depends on what you want to do.

Just worried that Rome & the likes might be a nightmare with little kids,

That’s fair enough. Rome is a lot of walking. Paros has the metro but it is not a modern metro so lots of steps. Madrid is quite reasonable to get around - staying in the centre works well.

Would you consider a short cruise? Or perhaps cost out a trip to Orlando - the hotels are good value relative to European hotel prices this year although the park tickets and higher air fares will be reasonably hefty.
