Just wondering about Hire Right for Reference Checks?

There isn't a single positive review on trust pilot.

At first I thought it's just me, but it seemed to have messed up other's employment as well.

Most of these companies are basically working in the dark as they don't have access to the useful info.

However, do you think someone who didn't have any problems are going to bother leaving a review? I only remember that Capita did it for a previous job for me as Capita are infamously terrible at everything. They didn't screw it up then, but did get mightily confused by a passport card.

Well, up until 2017, all the jobs, I've gotten and accepted, didn't involve Hire Right. Halcion days up until then.

Ever since Hire Right was involved, nothing but problems, even though I have 4 previous managers as references "on standby" so to speak, if any future employer needs one.

Perhaps it is something else relating to your application.... social media scans, press reports, confused with someone with a similar name and location....

No it wasn't. It was simply Hire Right behaving appallingly. One reference stated that the call they received from Hire Right was even to the point of offensive, and the person barely spoke proper English. Also, I've had a dispute with Hire Right about the length of my employment with one employer, even supplied records to them, but they still couldn't get it right. The company wanting to hire me believed I was untruthful in my CV. Fact is, Hire Right causes a lot of problems at a time when one should give a positive impression starting a job.

However the problem you're describing is something different. I was sadly once a victim of identity theft, somebody doing good awful things in my name and even though he was caught by police my name still comes up in various "do not hire" HR lists various companies are keeping. Convincing HR that the person they got down as "do not hire" simply isn't me is quite a challenge....
