    Hi all!

It's that time of year again, winter is coming, and the BlanchWheelies are doing their annual fundraiser for St. Francis Hospice.

As usual, we're hoping to raise €5,000 for this special cause.

    _______________________________________

    Date: Saturday 17th September 2022

Meet from 9 am at the Strawberry Hall

Depart at 10 am sharp (2 groups)

    Digital Sign-on: https://bit.ly/bwhospice2022

    Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/994113

    _______________________________________

Donations to St Francis Hospice instead of entry fee. Donations are accepted on the day or via: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/BlanchWheelies2022

A valid Cycling Ireland licence is required, but one-day licences are available if you don't have one (€10 each).

It's the same route as always, and there will be a food stop circa 55K in at O'Connell's at Skryne.

Our hospice spin is always generously supported by many clubs and we'd be grateful for your support this year in either attending or passing the word on to your own members! Everyone is welcome and will be looked after.

(There's a possibility of Pizza at the finish - but that's a secret)

There's been a few last minute tweeks to the route - road works at clonee, and the park is closed. The bad news is the route is down to 96K... so we're making everyone cycle around the car park at O'Connell's to make up the slack! :D

A huge thanks to everyone who came out today

We have 120 riders, the largest number we've had in years!

    I've uploaded photos to:

So far, it only has photos from this morning - but I will update later.

Feel free to share them with your club and download them.

That's me carrying the pint and feeling thoroughly knackered (114km @ 30.4 which includes the initial 20-30km going very slowly!).

Really enjoyed myself today, thanks again.
