Flights to New Zealand?

    Hi all,

I'm considering going to New Zealand for 2 weeks in December, but I'm having difficulty finding affordable prices.

Looking at Emirates they have just the one stop over in Dubai, which is preferable. But the only tickets available now are flex plus tickets costing nearly 3,000 EUR return.

Are there are any alternative routes that cost less than 2,000 EUR but with total travel time less than 35 hours?

You trying to be there over Christmas? Or back home before?

    Back home before.

I'm off work for the first two weeks of December, so dates around 30th November to 14th December.

A Skyscanner search suggests that there are other options, by travelling westabout rather than east. I did a quick search that came up with a Dublin-Toronto-Houston-Auckland routeing for a travel time of 31h50m and costing €1819. The return would be via the US as well. Obviously fares may vary according to dates and other factors.

If flying through the US you will require an ESTA and to be vaccinated.
