Medicine in Italy

Hello to whoever can see this.

I'm strongly considering studying medicine in Italy however I don’t know where to start. I’m currently a resident in Ireland. I’ve been living here for past 7 years (awaiting citizenship). I’m wondering whether I’ll be treated as a non-eu when applying to Italian medical school. My mother is an eu passport holder. For context, I’m studying in Ireland currently but strongly thinking of relocating to Italy to pursue medicine. Any advice on how to begin will be greatly appreciated.
