I'm thinking of booking a week away for 2 with TUI to Majorca at the end of August but I have read of horrible experiences with them. Are they best avoided or were these experiences only a small drop in the ocean?

Never had a problem using them and must have been over 10 trips with them.

All flying out of Dublin bar this year flying out of Belfast was 1k cheaper doing it that way.

At the start of July, I flew out of Manchester to Marrakesh. TUI were fine. Not a bother. Luggage fine. Delays both ways of about 30 mins. Nothing to be concerned about. By flying ryanair to Liverpool, then flying out of Manchester, we saved over 2000 euro.

Reps in resort were good and responsive, and no issues whatever.

Lots of horror stories concerning TUI, and loveholidays, this summer.

FWIW we found an identical holiday with Budget Travel for €1k less than the two operators above.
