washing machine error on cold wash only...?

I have a Candy Grand Vita washing machine and its throwing up error code E03 on a cold wash ONLY (30 degrees). I pulled it out and checked and cleaned the drain (nothing there but a bit of water) and put on a 40 degree wash and worked fine, then a 30 degree and it stopped and error code E03 again. Drained it and put on a 40 degree and it worked as it should.

Seems to only be on a 30 degree wash. Anyone any ideas what it could be?

Doesn't seem to be anything in the drain any time i check and its draining fine on all other washes.

    Thanks

    Any advice appreciated.

I know its a silly question is your water hotter than 30

Checked the error code and relates to drain which you have checked

Wouldn't imagine so and its just a new problem. Was working fine until yesterday.

Error 03 relates to not draining on time but if it drains ok on all other washes it is unlikely a blocked or sticking pump, feel the sump hose that is connected between the tub and pump for coins etc, it’s not related to hot water coming in as they are cold water fill only. Fill the machine with water and then set it for drain when it starts to agitate, as soon as you hear the water going out turn it off and see does all the water drain off on its own , if so the waste hose is pushed too far down the stand pipe causing siphoning, otherwise I would think the selector switch is faulty
