Bike24

I've bought from Bike24 before but last week tried to complete an order and kept getting the error that both by delivery and billing addresses (same) were invalid. Nothing I can do will change this. Site won't accept my postcode.

Contacted customer support and they were no help. Sent me on a screenshot of how to input my address by putting 2 lines of my address in the 'first name' and 'last name' fields. I actually tried this as a last resort but it didn't work either.

They also said that "your country's postcode format is not recognized by our system"

Anyone else have difficulty with this on Bike24 and if so how did you get around it?

Could you use paypal and use that address?

    Not with Bike24

It's so bizarre. It won't even let me use it on non registered user checkout. It's a bit of a problem because we're thin on the ground with options now for bike shops online.

I tried setting up a new account and it won't let me do that either

I ordered a good few bits and pieces on 27/07 with no problems, shipped on 03/08 so should be hear next week. I just logged back in to may account and I didn't put in a postcode / eircode. Maybe update addreses by deleting??

If you pay via Paypal it seems to be fine as they use the paypal address, if thats an option for you?

I tried that but maybe as an already registered user. I'll have another look and try the paypal method as a 'guest' user

I’ve just ordered two tyres via PayPal as guest so will see if the order progresses over next few days. Hopefully no issues as these tyres are awkward to find in 28mm.

I’ve ordered tons of stuff off them over the last few years, most recently about three weeks ago. Never an issue. I mostly (maybe always) use PayPal

Just a thought but were you using aVPN while ordering?

placed an order approx.2 weeks ago. Paid through PayPal.

All good through the ordering process but I received an email from DHL a few days later requesting my eircod to complete delivery. I checked tracking and it said my order had been temporarily stored awaiting more details.

I emailed in my eircod as requested and the part arrived 2 days later.

So keep an eye on the emails if you do eventually get the order placed.

They must be having some difficulties with delivering into Éire at present

I get the captcha/ click the buses every time I use bike 24 with a work device, so I wouldn't rule that out!

So finally got this to work. Switched browser to chrome. When I logged in on chrome my basket was empty, which was very odd, since it was still showing all items I had in it on both my work laptop and phone. Anyway I added what I needed again on home laptop and this time the delivery address was accepted but invoice address wasn't. It was asking for me to edit my address and put in my state. But I had every field populated.. Was just about to give up and I said I'd reselect Ireland, even though the country was filled in already. Reselected Ireland from the country drop down list and bingo, it went through.

    Thanks for all replies here
