I recently purchased a 191 car with finance from the car dealership.

Am I bound to the dealership now for servicing and any repair work which may be required for the car for the duration of the car Finance?

    Thanks

did you buy it on PCP or hire purchase, usually with PCP there are restrictions on where/how you service

    Hire purchase agreement.

Reading the small print the agreement states that the dealer may request at any time to view the car, know the cars whereabouts and that I may not modify, alter or do anything to the car which may devalue it.

It doesn't state anywhere that the car must be serviced by the dealer.

I will be getting it serviced by the dealer initially as I don't want to invalidate the 12 month warranty the saleman verbally gave me.

On a HP it doesn’t really make any odds.

Should you not have a written warranty?

Too true, there was no questions asked however when they fixed a small problem I had with the car, it was a 10 min. fix, granted.

Won’t make a difference. When you go to trade in your car it’ll be worth x and your outstanding finance is y. Or else you just pay it off yourself. Same with these mileage limits on pcp. The original dealer might change their arm and give you a lower trade in figure but any other dealer taking the car as a trade in won’t care.
