Diesel Heater v Truma Heater

    I have a a vintage Hymer and the Truma sl3002 is not working and is in very bad condition. I am trying to figure out is it worth getting fixed, where would I get it done - I'm on West coast, how expensive it could be?

    I'm thinking of just getting a diesel heater instead but I've no experience of them. Just wondering how people find them, which is best, do they need to be fitted professionally, running costs etc?
