Signed a contract to start a new job- can I back out before starting?

    Hi

    ive signed a contract to start a new job and handed in my notice with my current employer.

    However I’ve changed mind, can I back out before the contract starts?

    As regards new job You can do as you please.......but advise them ASAP & be as conciliatory as possible..... this isn't N Korea .


    I assume you've reached a deal with currant employer re remuneration/ terms???

    Thanks Ken, appreciate that. Reason is I’ve just learnt they’ve layed off a lot of staff inc people I was due to work with. Thus very concerned now what I would be joining and that they haven’t told me what’s been going on.
