Dublin bus prices

    What are the official fare prices or do they just make them up ,?

    I don't get the bus often at all but the last two Sunday morning's Iv decided to give the wife a lie in & take the kids on the bus to the next village over get a bit of breakfast and let them have a run around in nice park there, They are both under 5 so love getting the bus and it goes along the coast so they love looking out at the sea,

    The first weekend i didn't know how much it would be so had a pocket full of change and got charged 2 Euro 20 but on the way back i got charged 1 Euro 80 on the same route, Yesterday it was 1 Euro 60 pout & 2 euro back,

    I'm not complaining but just find it funny that the drives seem to have no idea what to charge
