Google Share Spike, Revolut Blocked Trade

    I have a small investment in Google via Revolut...

    I woke up this morning and (unusually for me) checked my account.... It was up by over 300%. I tried to sell some shares and kept my capital + more in the account. But the trade was declined... I did a webchat, and they told me they have the right to decline trades, and didn't give any reasons why it was declined... they told me to try again, but now they have blocked me from trading...

    I haven't done anything unusual... did they make a mistake with the google listing, and trying to protect themselves? I thought the ide behind trading was that you could buy and sell based on the market price... seems like I've been f***ed over...

    Anyone experienced anything similar?

    I would presume you may only me allowed sell and buy during market hours so if it is on the Nasdaq it would be market opening time in New York.

    I mean, the LME retroactively cancelled billions in nickel trades during the short squeeze back in March.

    Don't think Revolut are too fussed.

    It looks like they had made a mistake. The share price is back down to rock bottom... looks like I missed my chance to retire...

    Alphabet 20-1 stock split today.....might be the issue
