The plastic thingy which holds the door stay on our back door broke. Is it possible to get a replacement? I'm not even sure what the proper name of this thing is, which makes it kinda hard to search... and if I could get one, would it have to be riveted on?

I have gotten replacements from both Munster Joinery and Costelloe windows and doors. If you know who manufactured them just ring the company and they will send out a replacement, Generally an easy fix.

The brand name on it is Cotswold. Looks like the whole thing will have to be replaced complete, I see some sources in the UK but not in IE / EU, Screwfix don't have anything... any ideas?

Edit: posted before I saw the replies, thanks. Yeah there are two screws holding the channel to the frame and two holding the stay to the top of the door. If I can get the right yoke it won't take two minutes to fix...

Apart from the usual Brexit hassles, they don't have one big enough - they have one that fits a window alright. I'll ask at my local hardware place, if they don't have something suitable they'll hopefully be able to order in.

Have decided to not bother replacing it.

The maximum opening of the door is only slightly more than what the stay restricted it to, and it doesn't hit anything, so no real point in replacing it.

Thanks anyway. I just assumed the door would hit something without the stay, but it doesn't.

This should work, couple of self tappers if the holes don't line up.
