Change in Job Title

    Hi everyone, looking for a bit of insight.

    Can a company change a job title if they wish? Where the change is just down to allignment, not due to promotion or otherwise?

    The change is rather small but according to web searches, would command a slightly lower pay scale than the previous title.

    As it would presumably be a change in contract could one "reject" the change? Or is it really an option / would it look bad?
