I got a few brands off Amazon haven't had many blow since bout 5yrs

Amazon does bulk packs of Philips bulbs you shouldn't go too far wrong with them anyhow

Ikea are good for LED bulbs, but the quality / price is ok from most places, even Mr.Price/Deals.

In fairness I'd be avoiding the pound shops

Maybe they'll last but not the place I'd be busy any electrical items

Unless you've a heap of lights, you mightn't save that much by changing now. Might be better to just replace with new lower wattage as what you have expires.

Suspect that larger items will have much bigger impact: fridges, freezers, cookers, ovens, immersions, kettles, display screens for this, that and the other, zombie devices like Alexas and things left on standby.

“Display screens” and Alexa consume negligible amounts power. It’s the appliances that heat and cool that consume most power.

Theres the nuisance of incandescents blowing and of course can they affect the lampholder life as well so it's not just electricity usage

It used to be that you weren't supposed to mix halogen spots and led spots , dunno how much of an issue that is if at all

Less chance of getting a bad batch or brand with your method but I'd be in the change everything at once camp myself so your lumens and colours are consistent
