Stupidly, I damaged an underground electric cable whilst doing a bit of digging with a mini excavator.

The power to the house still works but I'd like ESB networks to check it out to make sure it's safe.

Has anyone any idea how much they charge - i.e. approx price range?

    Ring their emergency number

    1800372999

ive come across this on a few occasions and they haven’t charged. Explain to the crew that call-out that the cable wasn’t installed correctly. ( not in duct, not deep enough,no markings to indicate cables below)

they’re usually quite prompt too if it’s reported as a fault.

    have your MPRN to hand
