Hairdresser did bad job and was not who I booked with

I have gotten my hair done by the same person for the last few years. I went a few days ago to get my roots done and the regular hairdresser greeted me and then brought over another hairdresser and said that she would be doing my colour today. I didn't really question it as I was only getting my roots done, so it wasn't a big job. I noticed this new hairdresser was a good bit slower at applying the colour, also my regular hairdresser came over and told her to get a wipe and clean a patch of dye that accidentally got on my face.

All was grand until I went home and looked at it properly. The hair where my parting is is done really well and all greys are covered, but all other sections are quite patchy with a lot of grey still showing.

I have a suspicion that the girl that did my hair is a trainee as she is not listed on their website to make a booking with. They still charged me the normal price.

I fully understand that people need to learn on the job, but should they have told me it was a trainee and should they have charged lower?

  • I would just go back and tell your regular stylist you're not happy with the job that was done.

If she is reputable, she'll put it right for you at no further charge.

Exactly as the above poster said, return to your regular hairdresser and they will put it right FOC. Even the most experienced hairdressers make mistakes too. Perhaps the girl was a qualified hairdresser but new to the salon and a bit nervous.
