Hi

am in Villamoura in Portugal right now. Have a football and want to go for a kick around with the 8 year old, but there seems to be no such thing as a public park. Any green area on Google maps seems to be a golf course.

is anyone aware or any public parks around the Villamoura or Quarteria area for a simple kick about ?

Have you asked about the public athletics track, that is open for public use, think there is a pitch in the middle of it.

Suppose you could. Just be nice to get a park or grass area to kick around in. But seems not really a thing over here.

It’s a fairly common enough thing in Portugal just not in Vilamoura which is privately run. On the beachside walk between Vilamoura and QuArteira there are places to play futsal ;ie sand) and maybe you could use one of those. Alternatively, You could do it on the grassy area between the different carriageways of Av Eng Joao Mireilles. This is where the exterior gyms, walkways and jogging tracks are.
