Expired Covid Certs

    Hi all,

Travelling to Spain in a few weeks.

Had the initial two Covid vaccines but not the booster. Consequently (like many others) Covid cert has now “expired”.

As far as I can see. Covid Certs no longer inspected on arrival in an EU country from another EU country but must be valid. So in theory if they did ask for Covid cert you would not get past border controls with an expired cert?

I have actually travelled to France and Poland in last few months without issue for work but this is a family holiday and would be a disaster if it didn’t work out.

    thanks

I’m not long back from Majorca. We landed in the same area of the airport as U.K. travelers. So they were doing checks for U.K. passenger certs. They just asked me was I on the cork flight and then just asked to show passport, they didn’t ask for certs.

it might be smoother to get if you arrive in an EU only part of another airport.

I’d say keep your boarding pass too when you get off the plane.

Came back from Majorca last week. They don't look for certs on entry or exit, it's just the usual passport checks. I'd say you'll be fine.

    Thanks for replies.

FYI - arrived in Spain (Reus) and no questions asked (barely looked at passport). They did have a separate line for UK arrivals with temperature scanning etc.
