Minimum job requirements...

I've recently applied for a new job.

The minimum/essential requirements for this job includes 5 ordinary passes in the Leaving cert (or equivalent qualification) , or a level 7 degree.

However, I took the Leaving Cert Applied programme rather than the traditional, and received a 90% distinction grade, as well as holding a Level 5 PLC, again with distinction grade. I'm also currently completing a 4 year Level 8 degree.

Question is, will my LCA results be recognised for employment purposes, more so, would my distinction grade fulfil/be better than the min. 5 OL passes in the traditional LC? Or if not, would the fact I'm studying a L8 degree surpass the L7 degree requirement?

Your level 5 plc is better than a leaving cert (level 4)
