Selling crafts online as a hobby

    Hello,

I plan to sell some spare crafts I made online and would like to know if I need to register for tax purposes.

I have a regular full-time job as an employee, and from my crafts, I don't anticipate earning more than 50-100 euros altogether.

(Revenue.ie says that you will need to register as a 'sole trader' if your 'net income is above 5000e'. Does this 'net income' refer to the crafts' income or to me as an individual, counting in my full-time job's salary?)

    Thanks a lot!

It refers to the profits from your craft sales only.

Profit = Revenue (ie what you get from the sales) minus Cost (ie raw materials and some other costs, eg advertising or transaction fees)
