Engagement/wedding ring repair in New York

    I lost a small diamond from my wedding ring and have been quoted €1600 here in Ireland to get it replaced. I also need to get the ring fixed and my wedding ring needs to be taken apart and made again. I'm thinking of booking a trip to New York this year and getting them done while I'm there.Would it be cheaper to get it done while I'm there? There are so many to choose from on Google in the diamond district area. Has anyone done this? Gotten a ring repaired in New York? I'm looking for recommendations, advice, how long it took, as in days or weeks? Thanks
