I understand it that this is the rate of pay in a unionised environment.

The rate of pay outside of a unionised setup can be anything.

I work in a unionised manufacturing facility. If electrical contractors came in and were not union members, the unionised trade employees would strike - hence only unionised contractor employees are allowed on my particular site and this is the norm on any other unionised sites.

When I was doing my apprenticeship rates of pay that we each received varied greatly. The apprentices from unionised facilities were paid a minimum of the unionised agreed rates from the connect leaflet above. Other guys who were working with small operations or 'facilities' companies etc.. were generally paid less and below the unionised rates in my experience

oh I never saw any site say there is a difference in pay between unionised and unionised jobs as an electrician in Ireland
