Was just watching a couple of videos on GMBN and there seems to be alot more off road, bike trekking paths and distances over in the UK. Is there anything similar in Ireland or are we confined to fire roads and continuous loops?

England and Wales have Bridalways - could be because they have more common and/or national parks? As a State, we're missing a real opportunity not linking some dead end fire roads - often it's a few hundred metres worth to create a loop or link to forests/ paths.
