    Need new Horsebox. Prices in France way cheaper than here. Is there vrt or any other tax on just going over and bringing one back on ferry ?

    No.

    Careful though, French horseboxes can only be pulled by a left hand drive car.

    As it is not a vehicle I can't see how VRT would apply. A receipt showing VAT should suffice if you were questioned.
