I got a new gas hob had rgi guy land after waiting 2 weeks, guy seem a little clueless (young) to be honest, the gas hob was slightly larger fixing than the last when he remove the old one (maybe few mm), he was not able to make adjustments to the counter top said I would need a joiner, I done it my self in about 3 minutes (Was not a hard job).

About a week after I was lucky enough to be walking past the gas tank outside during a very wet morning, you could hear the gas pissing out of the tank because it was wet. I fixed that also....

I would always advise getting RGI certified installer but I have little faith in these guys at times.....

When you got your kitchen installed and the holes for the sink & hob were cut out, it wasn't the plumber that did this work. The plumber did the plumbing and the carpenter did the wood work. I don't see why you think a plumber would cut out the hole for the hobs. He has plumbing tools not carpentry tools.

Well he is a gas installer not a plumber! It is catch 22, I need the gas installer to remove the existing gas hob and install the new hob. I assumed installing a hob actually means "Installing". But what it really meant was he would disconnect old system the reconnect a new system as long as the hob fits exactly...

But with that said he did not even do that correctly.

Basically your not happy with one particular RGII installer, please don't brand everyone as been the same.
