    Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anybody can shed any light on if I can start in the civil service on my current HSE salary (29,000) instead of dropping down to the clerical officer salary (€25,000)

I'm currently a Covid 19 tester and just got an email about clearance for a Clerical officer job

This is all a bit new to me so any guidance is much appreciated

    Thanks!

You would go in on point 1 and then try get restoration to original pay. Could take a while to do.

On what basis would you keep your current salary- Covid 19 tester isn't a clerical officer.....
