Extending Doctors Cert

Hi All, I came down with a chest infection last week and had to miss work, I went to the doctors on Wed and asked for a cert for work, he only gave me one for tue-thurs, but on friday I still wasn't feeling up to going in and I'm only really feeling back to full strenght now and will be going in tomorrow, does anyone know…

Have you submitted the cert to work?
I imagine your GP would be understanding about you needing the extra time.
