What will happen to UB overdraft if not cleared?

I have opened new account elsewhere and planned to pay a bit each month to clear UB overdraft, but due to health issue in family and household income cut in half now I'm not going to be able to clear it by time they exit. What will happen then?

They'll take it, put your account in the negative and sell the debt on.

Overdrafts are usually repayable on demand are they not?

To be honest, the best thing you can do is give them a buzz and try to get ahead of it. At the very least, just engage with them. Best of luck.
