Can make a decent case for one with poor form figures at Lingfield.. seems to be ~ 14/1 on the early prices , which is a big price #if race pans out like i hope,,, don't want to put the mockers on it by putting it up early doors at a 'probable sp' , only to see it open at 8 or 9 to 1 😃 picking winners lately a bit like walking through treacle,, am almost tempted to have t'pick as a Nap, and, if not, he could well get the NB vote,, will feel robbed if HT puts it up,, if am still alive will put pick up 2moro .... in same race i might have (dependant on price) a lay pick as well - but no one gonna be on tenterhooks waiting for an (effectively) odds-on shot 😃

    # big enough 'if' , but reasons enuf to be cheerful early doors

4.20 Lingfield NICK VEDDER 25/1 gen EW NB

Am thinking Robyn Brisland's charge can do well here from a hold-up run off a fast pace in this 7f race,, Most in this like to get on with it, but not seeing any out and out frontrunners,, Perhaps Sir Sedric will go on from stall 1,,, If nothing goes on then maybe the selection's stablemate Evasive Power will,, Nick Vedder is out of form but has been running mainly on turf the last while, and has also been racing at over a mile or further, so can and will overlook most those runs,, how else me gonna get a long overdue big-priced wunner?? 😁

He has gone close at the course over 7f and 1m at the course in March of last year off a fair few lbs higher,, that's quite a while and they weren't even winning runs, but them runs aint entirely without merit in t'context of this race,, He has only ever won over as far as 6f on the AW, which is a bit of a worry, but has won over the trip on turf,, Anyway, my opinion is a fast run 7fs from the aforementioned #putative hold-up ride gives him claims here,, All about opinions, and that's mine 😃 62 is a fair mark ,, Afaic see he's only had the one run over 7 at the course, and came 5th in a Class 5 then,, that was one o' em March '21 runs, and he was up with pace then,,, But 2moro i reckon he'll wait out back and 'opefully prove me right,, Unexposed over track n trip possibly?

The trainer has also had a second at Bath today - that is good as she (Robyn - sounds like a she anyroad) is in form, but also good, as horse did nae haktually win, so eyes may not be directed towards me pick, outside the half dozen or so regular readers on here 😃

In same race I think the jolly Blue Flame is opposable @ 5/4 or shorter - serious lay value @ 6/5 or less ,,, that were his price (5/4) on 'probable sp' when me posted y'day, and therefore piqued me interest,, Currently a best-priced 6/4 shot and as short as 11/10 (with 365, who normally are biggest with the shorties, which has to be interesting them wanting to keep fav onside ) , with most going 5/4,, Won at Wolverhampton lto, but that's a different course,,, looks about a 7/4 shot to me for this particular race,,, Looks the most likely and may have scope for improvement,,, May well be too big as lay bet regards price come opening show, but if he sees some support, and he might, then he's consideratory of layness imo,, has gone well since going to Ed Dunlop's, on the AW, but has never won on Polytrack, although he has gone close,, Two wins on the Tapeta, and a few crossbar jobs, including a second at Chelmsford in December and a second at Kempton in February, both over 7 furlongs,, Deserves to be fav, and if nothing else sees much coin he could well shorten more,, Will hope his price gets shortened - and he loses - so as to prove me right 😊

    # one should always keep in mind, and use sparingly, 'big words' if the opportunity, even if it be gratuitous, arises 😁,, shoutout to Dominic 'badinage' Dale, and Hazel 'alacrity' Irvine 🙌

    that is all

    Gl all
