2014 Prius rear brake question.

My neighbour has a 2014 Toyota Prius (Hybrid) which needs rear discs and pads.

The car has what appears to be an electronic handbrake which usually means you need a scanner/diagnostic tool to work on the rear brakes.

I have looked at a few videos dealing with changing rear pads/discs on a Prius and there was no mention of any 'special' tools - they even show the piston simply being pushed back (no need of rewind tool).

I would appreciate opinions/advice from anyone who has done this job before I get the parts - told the owner that if scanner required I couldn't do it.
