Evening all, when I picked up my used black toyota there wasn't a mark on it, roll on one year later there's marks which must have been covered by some wax or t-cut stuff.

Is the stuff toyota sell the same stuff they use when preparing used cars for sale?

They probably use autosmart, autoglym or some brand like that. The marks could be from cheap car washes or washing with a brush

A lot of garages now use the local car wash/valet place to prepare both new and used cars.

What sort of wash/polish do you use?

Do you drive a lot on country roads, the overgrown hedges can be hard on a car especially a black one.

I use autoglym rapid aqua wax.

    No back road country driving.

Maybe they used something like a black t-cut and has now worn off.

Is t-cut abrasive, Would I be doing more harm.

Chances are they used a product which fills the marks like Autoglym SRP (Super Resin Polish)or Autosmart equivalent (Platinum I think it's called?)

Can buy SRP in Halfords, and, if the marks you're talking about are swirl marks like this it'll fill them temporarily.

If you do go down this route, be sure to put a good wax / sealant on top, otherwise the SRP won't last a wet week and you'll be back to square one.

Autoglym super resin polish or auto finesse tripple then top it with a good wax as said above
