Farming- we got a payment on the BEAM scheme of 2k in 2019, unfortunately we went over in the stocking rate for the reference periods so we now have to pay it back. I have no problem paying it back, fair is fair its just that in 2019 when we received the payment we were in profit and as I work off farm the payment was more or less taxed at 53%. Seems now I have already paid tax and have to pay back the full amount. Is there a way I can claim a relief on this or something??
