Broadband Advice

    Hi there,

I'm in the process of changing my broadband providers.

I have lots of options and I'm unclear which is best for me, (there are others Vodafone/pure telecom but I didn't include them here)

    1. Virgin media FTTH (500MB or 1GB)

    2. Sky (Siro) FTTH (500mb or 1GB)

    3. Digiweb FTTH or Siro (500 mb or 1Gb)

I'm a bit lost on the who thing, I believe siro is supposed to be better than VM given that it uses XGS Pon Vs Docis 3.1.

But I'm not a power user, not gaming or anything like that, just need a reliable and stable signal for working from home. Maybe it makes no difference which provider it is once I get a third party router?

    Would appreciate any advice.

    Kind regards

Siro beats virgin media every time. VM is looking increasingly overpriced now it has more competition. I’m with pure telecom (SIRO FTTH 500mb) €35 for 12 months.

I chose Pure over Vodafone as Vodafones Gigabox router is garbage. Pure supply a Fritzbox which is very reliable.

    Thanks.

Anyone have experience of Siro through Sky?

Just wondering if there is any major benefit to Sky Siro over VM with 3rd party router

Actually as it turns out, don't have siro in my area despite what sky have told me.

So it's openeir FTTH Vs VM FTTH, not sure if there is any difference between the two
