    Unfortunately message went out on FB that the event isn't going ahead. A shame.

    That is a shame, and I guessed as much from @adrian522's comments on another thread. I think permit difficulties may have contributed, but it would be good to know more, as this is such a big race.

    There just wasn't enough time to get everything lined up for a race in May.

    Most of the requirements have been met and arrangements in place for next year but for this year we just couldn't everything lined up with Garda, Councils etc as well as trying to get sponsors etc.

    We also haven't been able to open entries without all the above in place so it would have been too late to get enough entries in.

    The good news is that a lot of the requirements with the various bodies have been agreed for what is needed for next year so we should be good to have a race in 2023, but unfortunately for this year we just ran out of time.
