Pointless noise in branches

    Today I visited a branch to make a foreign currency transaction. This took longer than it needed to, as the staff did not seem to understand what I wanted. The person apologised and said that it was difficult to hear people through the screen. The screen is of course needed for security and health reasons, I was wearing a mask for a good health reason also, and both of these can adversely affect communication. However, what was not needed was the loud pop music being played in the background which quite pointlessly made it difficult to hear people. Whatever some marketing person tells you, loud pop music does not improve people's visit to your branches, especially if it results in your staff not being able to hear your customers.
