Thinking of bringing the kids to Legoland in Windsor pretty much as school ends in June. Planning in flying over the Sunday and spending Monday there but is one day enough or should I plan for two days? UK schools don't finish up till late July so I'm assuming it wouldn't be too busy.

    Thanks

    Plan 2 days.

we went added weekend before and the Uk didn’t have the bank holiday and it was great. The Sunday was mental but Monday was excellent

Heading to Legoland in just over a week, staying in the hotel on site and will be over from Mon - Friday.

We have tickets booked for Harry Potter World and was wondering if anyone has tried to get there from Legoland.

I know it is far from ideal getting from Windsor to Watford and it would be much easier from London but we wanted the kids to get the enjoyment from the themed hotel in Legoland.

Would an Uber be the best option though I am guessing it will cost a small fortune!!

Go 2 days at least. We stayed at the legoland hotel, you get an early access and based on just an entry tickets and separate hotel price-wise it was similar back then. Booked 1 night - 2 day ticket. That was 3 years ago in June (booked in February), but it was in the middle of the week. Qs were ok, waiting time was half the displayed time, i think this was their trick to push people to purchase the Qbots or whatever they're called for skipping Qs. The longest waiting time we saw was 50mins, but it took abour 30mins in the Q. One thing I didnt like that the check-in to hotel was quite late or check-out too early, dont remember exactly which one. But they gave the park passes straight away and we could leave the luggages in the storage. Order some waterproof ponchos/coats from amazon or other shops just in case. We had to buy them in legoland, ridiculously overpriced.

Other friends went there in July same year, just entry tickets. Spend 1 hour max, massive Qs, waiting time displayed was 2hours on the most popular attractions.

Do the 2 days. We did it in 2018 - this particular week too. Our kids were 7 and 4. We all had a ball.

Flew out early to LGW and then got a taxi to Legoland. Taxi was a little pricey but overall still cheaper than flying into LHR.

Stayed in the castle hotel at the park. It was a cool hotel. Dropped our bags off in the hotel, they gave us passes and we went into the park and came back at around 5pm. Themed rooms in the hotel were brilliant - again, Legoland had the whole family catered for. We ordered a delivery from Windsor for dinner that evening.

Breakfast is the hotel was a buffet and it was well run.

Next we day we had a full day in the park and it was fantastic fun. Plenty for everyone to do. Queues weren't too bad overall. The flume ride at the top of park had the longest queue but really enjoyable.

Second evening we went into Windsor for dinner. It's a gorgeous spot and we got to walk around the town and see the castle walls.

Great advice above re ponchos - pick them up in Decathlon.

But definitely do the 2 days, there's plenty to do and the kids will likely want to go on a few rides more than once.

Our second day was a standard Tuesday and apart from the initial rush in the morning we didn't spend to long standing around. In many cases we just walked straight on/in to the particular ride.

Hope ye have a great time!

Could you go for a day trip to Legoland? I was going to bring the kids next week as we're going to be in London for four days.

An Uber from Windsor up the m25 to Watford depending on traffic could be very costly. Rent a car

We were there last week, took the tube and the day ticket was £39 for 2 adults and 3 kids, great value and a free shuttle bus from Watford Junction to HP studios.

Can I ask where you were able to buy a family ticket at that price please? Closer to £200 when I look it up!

We purchased the ticket at Windsor & Central on a Wed & Thurs; on both days it was £39. Our kids are 7, 10 & 12.

On Thursday, we went to the Windsor & Riverside station and we were being quoted £65, I assume that it is operated by a different train company though I am only guessing so we walked over to the Central station [5 mins] to save ourselves £26.

I would suggest that you check it out when you arrive. I used the Trainline app for a previous trip and the prices differ based on ages, which company were offering the service, etc.
