No EV deliveries on the horizon, would you lease or buy second-hand while waiting?

I’m saving for an EV, probably the EV6, but would take the Enyaq too. Both dealers in Dublin are saying late 2022/2023. Drove the XC40 recharge but it’s too pricey and don’t want a Tesla/ioniq 5.

I have to give my company car to an employee next month and wonder if I was to get a second company car on fleet insurance if I’d be better lease a Kia/Skoda from the dealer until the EV arrives or just buy something cheap and nasty to tie me over?

Check with a few more Kia dealers. I wanted to order a Kia Sorento PHEV last October and was told it would be April 2022 delivery at the earliest. Ray Crofton had it ready for me on 8 February. Don't know what the wait is for the EV6 but my point is don't believe the first Sales guy you meet. It varies from dealer to dealer, as far as I can see.

The way the car market it, you could do worse things that buy a car, drive it for 12 months and trade that in off your EV when it arrives and probably not lose a whole lot if anything.
