Dealer transfer of ownership

    Guys, anybody know how long it normally takes for a dealer transfer of ownership to show up on motortax.ie. Bought a car yesterday, Dealer said he was doing the transfer as we were speaking, but still no movement on motortax. Just wondering is there a database updated daily, or is each transfer done 'live' ?

    I would take it as the submission would have went in yesterday, the cert will be generated today, and sent to you tonight, showing up on the system tonight/midnight. I'd expect when you look at it tomorrow it will show transfer notified yesterday, new cert issued today and you should have it in the post Friday morning.
