Backwards same as forwards today. Could be end times 😂 If it aint, it gon be long time til this happen again.. I makes it a year - at least... the 32/02/2023 at the earliest, and dat only if some month git cancelled - might cud be December, on account of Christmas an all..

Onto the racing.. should be a good test on this 'unraceable' ground at Navan ... Another one - this time a word of t'palindromic varieté.. tis spookee dis sheet ,, backwarsds is forwarsds and racing be on unraceable going.. punters is not amused...

    2.20 Navan

A rehasheehing of Sat'dee night's tutorial, and it still stands the test of time imho,,

Will go with two just the one here.

    DARVER STAR 3/1 Spoils/Lads win

Goes well at this trip, as well as on soft ground. Has come 2nd and first in his last two runs, which should see him go close if those are replicated. A very open race this, and the odds aint too generous, but as Rupert says: "A 10/1 value shot that loses is still a loser"... Something has to win, and there's a few that might go well upped in trip, so wouldn't be going o'erboard backing this jolly here.

Alas poor Darver Star - he really wanted to be here, but sends his regrets..

GENTLEMANS GAME 10/1 PP ew pretty crap odds so I'm staying away from credit union today.

Some good runs over the obstacles in early part of last year.. hasn't fared so well the last twice - 3m on soft probably not suitable, perhaps.. Has plenty of equipment on today, and is back down in trip.. 6yrs old so improvement a distinct possibility too..

GL all but especially GL me who badly wants a winna winna :)

The first bit of your post is like something out of Ulysses!

I've never read a bit of Ulysses in my life and I don't want to after that 🤣 No lets see what my notebook tells me to back today.

A Fleurman (13.00 Market Rasen) & Petit Tonnerre (14.45 Market Rasen) double @3/1 while I contemplate steaming into Farouk Dalene.

Thanks Dan... That's a ringing endorsement for a mon tae read the JJ classic.... he was one of our own was James - even if he was a prod 😃

In the opener in Southwell this evening, Louis Treize 11/4 might be able to repeat his last time success here when he won under hands and heels of D Costello who is riding him again tonight. Zarzyni 7/4 is set to take 6 oclock contest after coming 2nd his last two outings, small field not much to beat. GL.

    Gentlemansgame 2.20 a non at Navan ☹️

Arter all me studying done o'er wkend, I do feel robbed.. Reckon 'Mouse' might have another day in mind for the grey son of Gentlewave.. I'm gonna get me a notebook,, and his will be one of the first names into it

Them kernts in Paddy Power's - when they aint committing acts of sacrilege, they's robbing my Northern schtick,, tha baxtards 😒

Anyroad, EEH BAH GUM ~ 5/1 might go well in 5.00 Southwell

topweight in handicap, relatively unexposed on AW, a winner off far higher marks, and first time blinkers do all bode well.. not a great draw as is wide in the eleven box

What about 6:30 south? or 7:30 south? I need one more for my 3-aday.

what about them eh? didn't look too much in-depth to them races.. will side with Beccy Menzies' in 6.30 Joanna Mason in 7.00 and no opinion on the 7.30 race,,

I stuck with obvious picks there.. if ya wants yer 3-aday, ya just gotta put in the hard graft, and start studying... get your finger out woman ffs ! 😆

it's no all sunshine and rainbows, I've ad enough, and it's a watching brief for me only,, watching t'snooker, and that'll see us out til tis time for t'land (or t'roof, as some might say) 🙂 🙂

Well Beccies horse is going up and up in weights for winning less than length each time and that has to stop eventually, extra 2f to cover today too, and our favorite Cam Hardie is riding it, I'm yet to check his strike rate in southwell, that all said I'm not convinced of Battochi's chances..

No luck in the first one in Southwell, 28/1 shot takes the prize, good luck with finding that one. I'm going with The Resdev Way 15/2 in 6:30, PP is paying 4 places, he seems to be in form, has won here and has won over this distance before and is on winnable mark.

    A v good day's picking from Hello 2D ! All three land 😊

Time for me to get me skates on or get off t'pot 😅 short to midterm future looks bleak - but i is only one big priced winner away from an uptick in fortunes.. it's always darkest before dawn,, hopefully daylight'll lick me into shape nd i'll back many winners in nxt few daze 😃

Connor Beasley on Zarzyni in the 18.00 there is a textbook reason why I keep away from flat racing.

He gets caught in traffic, and instead of swinging left where there's tonnes of space, he jinks right into more traffic. A big wide track and he aims for the narrowest path.

I see people on Twitter complaining and I don't blame them. I was annoyed watching it and I didn't even have a red cent on it.

Quite confident in Damascus Finish in the 7.00, hopefully has strengthened up since last run back in Sept. Most of these won't stay the mile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,065 ✭✭✭j@utis

yeah, I agree, I'm annoyed with that too, if it was 6f race Zarzyni probably would have got up but in 5f there's no time for riding sideways...

No luck today either, Batocchi gets the job done again, my pick finishes close 6th but what use is that. So, the epic losing run continues but mind it only takes couple of good winners are we're back on top of the world 🤣

Gurkhali Warrior looks a big price in 8 o'c

fair play - hope he runs well for ya,, a respectable third lto was an improved showing,,

think Gidwa is the one most likely from out the market leaders here, on form..

Just out of the places, certainly didn't run like a 50/1 shot

he ran a good race alright stan,, was deffo one of them ☹️value losers - only a length off places in the end.

A happy loser, where you don't need to have more than a couple of euro on and expectations are low.

    Anyway, roll on tomorrow..
