Rechargeable Battery purchase

I would like to have a spare battery for my Panasonic HC-V100. Battery model VW-BVK180, Li-Ion, 3.6v, 1790 mAh

I see compatibles on offer, 3.7v with higher mAh. Can these be used instead of the original.

Importing seems to be prohibited, where else can I find one, the first Irish site I looked at was €99 plus p&p. The camcorder itself didn't cost much more than that when I bought it in Argos.

Help, please - this seems to be a new rule as I have purchased spare rechargeable camera batteries in the past, from Amazon.

Try the lads in Conns Cameras they sell Hahnel ones, there should be a Hahnel version of the VW-BVK180. It'll likely be a good bit cheaper too than a Panasonic one.

i took a chance and bought these. I had them delivered to a friend in the UK, who will be back in Ireland later this year.
