    Hi

Looking to get a bit of work done one a John Deere 6920.

Need a few issues checked out, so want to talk to someone who knows his way around john Deere's.

Wondering if anyone knows of any good independent john Deere specialists around the Westmeath area?

Meath farm machinery and TFM are a bit far away from me both are around 70 - 80km's away.

Maybe someone might know of a good fella to use?

Bob Casey, between Mountmellick and Portarlington, a son of Eamon’s and has taken over the business, would be good with them.

Alan King is over between Birr and Cloughjordan and would be good too if he’s any closer to you.

Edit to add: Apologies, I missed the part where you said Westmeath area.

Is that Casey Agri? I see they sell a lot of clean looking 2nd hand Deere's.

Have you every got any work done with either of them?

Was hoping to find someone a little closer but might give them a ring if I don't find anyone closer

Yes that’s him alright. They do handle a good few Deere’s and has a good name for being knowledgeable on them around here.

I’ve never had any work done with them, New Holland’s and Fiat here so mainly Mike Garahy I’d deal with, but there’s neighbours and friends of mine that would deal with him and always seem to be happy with him.

Also king is only outside kinnegad so would class him as nearly westmeath.

That must be a different King. Alan that I’m thinking of is only a few miles from Gurteen at college. If that’s another man near Kinnegad maybe that will suit Laser2.

Yeah he is. He was once a zeter and lely dealer. He's a sound fella but not sure about if he would be the fella to go with a John deere. Let me ask around

70 or 80km isn't all that far in a modern tractor, especially for a once off or occasional journey. No one will know their way around a JD better than a JD dealer. They mightn't be a costly as you expect either, especially during a quiet time of year.

The chances are they would have a lorry passing at some stage and pick it up on the way home too

Like wise would anyone know of a good digger/hitachi man around the meath/westmeath boarder. Even a chap that has a full time job and does nickers would be handy to know.
