Recommend an Eco-heater?

I had this question in 'Home and Garden', and now realise it would be much more suitable in this section:

Anyone recommend a good sturdy electric Eco-heater, using low wattage, to heat a living-room?

Sick of rubbishy Dimplex heaters that don't last long.

Heating the entire room is going to take the same energy which ever way you choose.

    Depends on what you want.

Under the table fan heaters with the thermostat way down are one of the quickest way to get warmed up. The Japanese have a tradition where they wear loose robes so that the heat from under the table goes up them.

Infrared / radiation ones only warm the side of you that's nearest them. If you had money to burn you could have a system where wall heaters turn to face you as you move around.

Aldi are selling heated blankets with sleeves. Or put on another jumper.

    Depends on what you want.
