Hello, Bought an Older Van, 09, value about 2000

Need to get insured for a new Ironing service, collecting and delivering clothes. 3 Companies just said NO

Any tips for me please. I had this business years ago, about 8 and dont remember this been an issue. I've put my occupation as Driver and as an Individual.

Would applying as a Sole Trade help? Will I just insure it for private use .. will only be using twice a week and no signs. I didn't for a second think Insurance was going to be an Issue.

Any advise would be most appreciated, Thanks

Insured similar today,Using AA as a broker. Could have insured under my trading name (sole trader) or my actual name, Used actual name as I carried over NCB from a previous car policy

Brilliant, tks, I'll ring in the morning. Had you a few rejections too? Is this your only vehicle? This is a 2nd for me. Tks

AXA probably your best bet. Literally call into one of their offices.

    Fbd are another good option.

Age of van may go against you

You could try an independent broker.

They will check all the companies to get you a deal.
